Here are some of the questions we’re most often asked about our kitchens, our design process and the way we work. If there’s anything else you’d like to know, please feel free to get in touch.
About Us & Our Approach
-
Ben Argent Kitchens was established in 2011.
-
Our kitchens are completely bespoke, so costs vary depending on the size of the space, materials, specification and complexity involved. We aim to offer very competitive value for a genuinely individual, made-to-order kitchen, with clients dealing directly with us throughout the process.
While some of our projects are larger in scale and incorporate more complex features or higher-value materials, others can be designed more simply to suit tighter budgets. In many cases, our pricing can compare very favourably with established German and premium high-street kitchen brands, while still offering the flexibility, individuality and personal service of a fully bespoke kitchen.
-
Yes. Our showroom is open Monday to Saturday and you are very welcome to visit and browse. If you would like to discuss your plans with us in detail, however, we strongly recommend making an appointment so that Ben or Emi can give you their full attention.
-
Absolutely. In fact, some of our most successful kitchens have been installed in older properties. We particularly like the contrast between original period features and our relatively contemporary style, which can work extremely well together.
-
No. We are happy to provide an initial design proposal together with a detailed quotation free of charge. Further design revisions are chargeable, although these costs are refunded if an order is placed.
-
Yes. Our 3D visualisation service provides highly realistic images of your proposed kitchen. We can model your space to accurate architectural dimensions and use advanced rendering software to represent lighting, materials and finishes as realistically as possible.
-
Yes. We regularly work alongside architects and interior designers to ensure the kitchen is properly coordinated with the wider project. This includes detailed design coordination, services planning and communication with the wider project team.
-
Yes. While most of our projects are relatively local to Wiltshire, Bath and the surrounding area, we also work further afield, including projects in West London.
-
Yes. We work with developers on both individual properties and multiple-property kitchen projects.
Bespoke Kitchens & Manufacture
-
Our kitchens are made locally. We work with trusted local specialists who we have partnered with for many years to produce panels and components to our exact specifications. We then hand-assemble the cabinetry in our workshop at Dunsdon Barn.
-
Yes. All of our kitchens are made to order, so we are not restricted to standard cabinet sizes. If a particular unit needs to be 628 mm wide, we will make it 628 mm wide. Our 20|20 leg frames are also made to suit the exact length required, without visible joins.
-
Yes. We design, manufacture and install kitchens of all sizes, including very compact kitchens where making the best use of every millimetre is especially important.
-
We can supply most major appliance brands and are happy to advise on the best options for your kitchen, budget and requirements.
Installation & Project Management
-
This varies depending on the scale and complexity of the project, but we will agree a clear programme with you from the outset and keep you informed throughout. Once the design and specification are finalised, manufacture typically takes around four weeks, followed by installation and worktop fitting.
-
Yes. We manage the kitchen project from design through to manufacture and installation, coordinating closely with our fitting team, appliance suppliers, worktop fabricators and your builder or other trades where required.
-
We work with a highly experienced fitting team who we’ve known and worked alongside for many years. One of the team is also our bespoke cabinet maker, which creates a particularly close connection between manufacture and installation. We liaise closely throughout the installation and work together extremely well on site. The team shares our attention to detail and works to exceptionally high levels of precision, which very much reflects our own ethos.
